Description
[OUT OF STOCK] We believe our winter camel wool comforters (also called camel hair comforters) are the warmest covers on the market not counting electric blankets. These extra weight pretty fluffy comforters will pay for themselves in energy savings. You can turn down or turn off your thermostat (if there is no risk of frozen pipes) on a cold night and still stay warm. Camel wool filled comforters are very warm, lofty but not heavy. If the temperature in your bedroom is 70 degrees or higher, these comforters will probably be too hot for you.
Camel wool is similar to the alpaca wool: soft, light and warm. Both species belong to the camelids family.
Fill power: 600 gsm (600 grams of wool per sq. meter).

Size: Twin – 66x88″.
Corner loops: There are loops in each corner of a comforter to secure it inside a duvet cover.
Piped edges: 4 mm (0.15 in.) piping around the perimeter of a comforter for durability.
100% Camel wool fill. High quality, cruelty free, warm and cozy comforters for healthy night’s sleep. They are made of thick pure camel wool batting encased in cotton fabric. The camel wool comes from the two-humped Bactrian camels of Gobi desert (Mongolia). These Mongolian camels produce very durable wool because they live in extreme weather conditions ranging from freezing cold to blistering heat.
Zipper for checking authenticity of the wool filling.
Temperature regulating. Camel wool filled comforters help regulate body temperature. The camel wool batting is sewn to the covers and stays in place assuring uniform distribution of wool without cold spots. Thermostatic properties of camel hair regulate temperature under all thermal conditions. They make human body warmer in cold temperatures and cooler in warm temperatures. This is how Mongolian camels got adapted to extreme temperature fluctuations in the desert where the temperature ranges from 100 degrees in summer to minus 40 degrees in winter with snow atop dunes. Wool comforters are recommended for those who experience night sweats or hot flashes.
Breathable. This cold weather comforter is filled with carded wool that is very porous and allows air to flow through the comforter keeping your skin warm and dry.
Moisture wicking. Camel wool comforters reduce humidity by absorbing perspiration. Natural camel hair conducts moisture away from the body absorbing up to one third of its weight without feeling damp or clammy. Wool allows air to circulate and dissipates moisture into the air much faster than feather or synthetics filled comforters.
Hypoallergenic. Camel wool comforters are an ideal solution for those who are allergic to polyester or other artificial fibers. Wool sanitized with non-toxic detergent. Wool comforters are dust-mite resistant. The camel wool batting is encased in a dense fabric that prevents shedding.
Antibacterial. Wool comforters are naturally antibacterial and does not have to be cleaned as often.
Soft, fluffy & light. Camel wool is more durable and lighter than lambswool. Compared to goose down, wool comforters have no poking/flying feathers and filling does not shift like it does in feather filled comforters. Unlike down, wool comforters don’t involve killing birds. Unlike polyester/down alternative items, wool comforters are antistatic (do not cling to the skin), lighter, temperature regulating, safer (wool is fire proof) and do not harbor dust mites.
Eco-friendly. Manufacturing of polyester/down alternative bedding releases air pollutants while wool is self-renewable resource that does not affect the environment. Moreover, wool is biodegradable and decomposes into natural fertilizer when disposed of at the end of the product’s useful life while synthetics are full of chemicals and clutter landfills for many decades.
Storage. The comforter comes with a vinyl storage bag that protects it from dirt, dust & moisture.
Care. These extra weight wool comforters are not machine washable due to their size. Dry clean your comforter if necessary. We recommended that you use your comforter with a washable duvet cover to keep it clean, protect it from pet hair and extend its life. The comforters have corner loops and can be used with duvet covers that have corner ties. Stains can be removed with water and soap. It is recommended to air these comforters outside once a year.
