Description
This duvet is really well made! Look at the tiny stitches. Bright white. No weird smells. Ready to use right out of the bag. And only one pound lighter than the feather comforter it’s replacing, so it feels like a good, solid weight. There’s a little zipper on the duvet, so you can fondle the wool inside. There’s a sturdy zipper bag it came in that’s perfect for storing my old comforter away, too. I couldn’t be happier.
I also recommend the duvet cover sold to match. It’s stark white, and crisp, with a high enough thread count to be smooth, but still low enough to allow good air circulation. It has little corner laces to tie onto the corners of the duvet, which I have never had before, but seems so logical. And the zipper was easy to use which sounds normal, but I must have had a lot of cheap zippers, because it usually takes four hands to zip one up, and this one took two.
If you want to get rid of the feather fluff getting everywhere from your old duvet problem, I highly recommend this product. I wish I had bought this years ago.”
100% Cotton cover, 100% Australian wool fill. Our washable wool comforters (also called wool duvets, wool duvet inserts or wool quilts) are warm, soft, light and cozy. The wool was collected from humanely treated sheep. Customers who try our wool comforters do not go back to goose down or polyester comforters. Pure lambswool fill, no synthetic content. The fabric is super soft, silky and gentle on skin.
Color: White. The shell is made of noiseless, soft and silky cotton fabric.
Size: Twin – 66×88″ (6 Lbs) & Queen – 90×90″ (8 Lbs).
Fill power: 400 gsm (400 grams of wool per sq. meter or 11.8 Oz of wool per sq yard). We use more wool than most other sellers of wool bedding. The standard fill power for all season wool comforters is 300 gsm.
Optional white 100% cotton duvet cover with a zipper at the bottom and inside corner ties: Twin – $33. We only offer white duvet covers. They are custom made to fit these comforters.
Corner loops. Our all season wool comforters have loops in the corners to secure them in a duvet cover and prevent the comforter from shifting inside the cover.
Zipper: These lambs wool comforters feature a small zipper for checking authenticity of the wool filling (located near the product labels).
International certifications. The manufacturer is periodically audited by quality assurance organizations. Our wool filled comforters were certified by independent international organizations OEKO TEX and WOOLMARK. These certifications mean that the wool used for this comforter is pure wool that does not contain harsh chemicals. OEKO & Woolmark certificates available upon request.
Thermoregulatory. Natural wool duvets help regulate body temperature and allow the skin to breathe. Recommended for those who experience night sweats or hot flashes. Thermostatic properties of lambswool regulate temperature under all thermal conditions. Wool makes human body feel warmer in cold temperatures and cooler in warm temperatures. For this reason the 400 gsm wool comforters are usually perfect for all seasons. They are often referred to as all weather duvets or all season comforters. On cold winter nights in January-February you may need an extra blanket.
Moisture wicking. Wool absorbs liquid without feeling damp or losing its insulating properties. Wool filled comforters absorb the sweat keeping the skin dry and warm. Natural wool comforters are the best comforters for night sweaters.
Hypoallergenic. Pure wool duvets are an ideal solution for those who are allergic to polyester or other artificial fibers. Wool sanitized with non-toxic detergent. Dust-mite resistant. Encased in dense fabric that prevents shedding. Not treated with fire retardants or other toxic chemicals.
Antibacterial. Wool is naturally antibacterial and does not have to be cleaned as often.
Compartmentalized design keeps wool in place assuring uniform distribution of wool without cold spots.
No bad odor. Our wool bedding has no chemical or barnyard smell.
Packaging. These wool comforters come with a reusable bag for easy carrying. The bag can also serve as a gift packaging.
Wool superior to synthetics. Compared to goose down comforters, wool comforters have no poking/flying feathers, do not overheat and the filling does not shift like it does in feather filled comforters. Unlike polyester or down alternative bedding products, natural wool comforters are antistatic (have no electrical buildup and do not cling to the skin), lighter, temperature regulating, antibacterial, safer (wool is fire proof) and do not harbor dust mites.
Eco-friendly. Manufacturing of polyester/down alternative bedding releases air pollutants while wool is a self-renewable resource that does not affect the environment. Moreover, wool is biodegradable and decomposes into a natural fertilizer when discarded at the end of the product’s useful life. Synthetics are full of chemicals and clutter landfills for many decades.
Care: Our wool comforters do not need to be washed before using. Actually they do not need washing at all so long as you keep your comforter clean from spills and stains. They are machine washable but cannot be dried in a dryer. Machine wash in cold water on gentle cycle. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry. Hang or lay flat to dry in the sun or a warm place, can place towels underneath to soak up the water. Can be dry cleaned. See wool comforter washing instructions. Recommended to use with a cotton duvet cover for cleanliness, to protect from pet hair and extend the life of your comforter. It is much easier to wash a duvet cover than a comforter. Heavy loads can damage your washer and big wool comforters take a long time to dry. Stains can be removed with soap & water. Our duvet covers are custom made and guaranteed to fit our wool comforters.
